Machinery Exhibition Stands

At a machinery fair the stand is not a shell; it is a structure built around a working machine.

BASELINE designs, builds and installs exhibition stands for companies in machinery, starting from what the industry asks of a stand.

What a Machinery stand has to solve

These are not aesthetic preferences; they are the technical decisions a stand in this industry needs in order to do its job.

  • 01The floor’s load capacity in kg/m² is the first input to the design; with a heavy machine the load is spread over a steel plate or a distribution platform.
  • 02The machine goes in before the walls close. Crane and forklift access dictates the build sequence, not the other way round.
  • 03Three-phase power, compressed air and, where needed, cooling water are each ordered separately; the runs are taken through a raised floor.
  • 04A safety distance and barrier are kept around a running machine: the visitor has to see it without being able to reach a moving part.
  • 05Machine noise kills a conversation; the meeting area is moved away from it or separated with acoustic surfaces.

What is a stand at a machinery fair designed around?

What is most often overlooked on a machinery stand?

Machine noise kills a conversation; the meeting area is moved away from it or separated with acoustic surfaces.

These items are settled at the start of the design rather than at the end; anything added later either will not fit the plan or sends the drawings back to the fair authority for re-approval.
