About

A stand is not a decoration line item. It is an investment.

For four days your brand is represented by a physical space. How that space is built directly affects how many conversations happen in it and how visitors remember you afterwards.

BASELINE Dekorasyon is an Istanbul-based exhibition stand contractor: design, fabrication, installation and on-site technical support sit with one responsible party.

About

How we see it

We don't define this work as cutting timber and laying carpet. The question is how a brand is properly represented at a fair. The answer starts in the design, ends at installation, and shows in every decision in between.

The cost of an exhibition stand shows up in the accounts as a decoration line. What the money actually buys is not walls, carpet and print: it is a space that stands in for your brand for four days. How many conversations happen in it, how many samples get picked up, and which brand the visitor remembers on the way out all follow from how that space was built.

So we do not start with the question of how to cut timber. We start with how a brand is properly represented at a fair. The answer is usually not more material but a better layout: where the visitor enters, where the meeting sits, at what height the product stands, what is visible when the storage door opens. These are commercial decisions rather than aesthetic ones, and the fair settles them.

The second fact of this business is the calendar. The build-up window is set by the organiser; it is not negotiable and missing it cannot be recovered. That is why the schedule is planned backwards from the fair date rather than forwards from today: the deadline for the approval file, the cut-off for production, the day artwork goes to print. However good the design, a stand that is not ready on opening morning is a stand that was never built.

Treating a stand as an investment demands one more thing: nothing unverified gets written down. Every figure, date and reference on this site is real, and where we do not have the information we have not filled the gap with a round number. What matters in a stand contract is not how many projects a company claims on its website, but whether it holds the date it gave you.

How we work

  1. 01

    One point of contact

When design, production, transport, installation and dismantling are split between companies, responsibility for a delay splits with them. Here the whole chain sits in one contract: the person you call is the person who knows what the crew on site is doing.

  2. 02

    Plan first, render second

A photorealistic render does not rescue a bad layout; it only delays finding out. We do not move to visualisation before the plan holds — the proportions between welcome, meeting, display and storage. The render is not there to persuade, it is there to get the right decision approved.

  3. 03

    What is written is held

What is in the quote is what turns up on site. If work outside the scope becomes necessary, it is put in writing the day it appears rather than arriving as a surprise invoice during show week. This does not make the price lower; it makes the budget hold.
